This will be an ongoing post to give you ladies on the go meals and snacks that don’t threaten keeping your waist snatched
(and tastes good, obviously).

This literally takes less than 10 minutes and nearly half of it is spent steaming your rice! And is a go-to all year long.

  • 1 bag of Trader Joe’s Organic Jasmine Rice (or brown)
    the steam bags are LIFE
  • 1 ripened avocado
  • 1/2 cup of cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 lime
  • 1 tsp of garlic salt
  • 1 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 1 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of colby jack shredded cheese
  • black pepper and siracha to taste
  • optional: grilled chicken breast 

Steam rice as directed (I tend to add an additional 30-45 secs depending on which rice I use). Let stand for 1 minute.
Place in bowl when done. Add cheese, garlic and Italian seasoning. I like melting the cheese and letting the flavors to soak into the rice. Drizzle with olive oil to break up the stickiness. Cut up tomato, slice avocado and add to the bowl. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the entire bowl. Add black pepper and siracha according to your spice level.
